Macdonald Cardrona Hotel, Golf & Spa, Peebles

My experience at this hotel was a mixed bag. While I enjoyed the beautiful surroundings in the Tweed Valley and the evening dinner was surprisingly good, the overall maintenance of the hotel left much to be desired. The service was hit or miss, and our room had several issues that shouldn't be present in a place like this. I felt that for the price we paid, the experience could have been much better.

My stay was quite a mixed bag. While I appreciated the beautiful surroundings and some aspects of the dining experience, I encountered significant issues with the cleanliness and maintenance of my room. The staff were somewhat accommodating, but there were definitely moments where their responsiveness was lacking, which detracted from an otherwise pleasant experience.

The experience at Cardrona was quite mixed. While the evening meal during the murder mystery event was fantastic and truly enjoyable, many aspects of the stay, including room cleanliness and breakfast quality, left much to be desired. The hotel definitely has potential, but some areas need urgent attention to match its previous standards.

While the hotel has potential thanks to its lovely views and well-kept golf area, it falls short of its 4-star rating due to tired rooms and a mixed experience with staff. Although dining and spa facilities provided moments of enjoyment, service consistency needs improvement for overall satisfaction.

While the hotel offered lovely views and some excellent dining experiences, overall, I was quite disappointed with the upkeep of our room and the service during our stay. The golf course was impressive, but the buggy hire felt overpriced, which made it hard to justify for next time. It had potential, but certain aspects need significant improvement.
